Inclusion as a Basis for Equality

Youth Line Netherlands team is happy to share good news. The training course  “Inclusion as a Basis for Equality” which took place in The Hague (The Netherlands) from 2nd till 8th of September 2016 was successfully implemented. Altogether, 31 people, from 9 different countries The Netherlands, Estonia, Slovakia, Turkey, Belgium, Malta, Latvia, Czech Republic and Italy -  we achieved great results!

After the project each participant increased his/her own  skills and the background as youth worker and now can offer these opportunities to young people in their countries to prevent and to remedy the discrimination.

During the project we exchanged practices, insights and values about youth work with marginalized groups; raised awareness about the importance of inclusion on local, national and European level; empowered youth workers in understanding and using Erasmus+ Programme for their youth work.

Project activities were mostly based on methods of informal education. We started with get to know and team building activities. Then Erasmus+ and Youth Pass were introduced. Then we passed to working on the topic of inclusion and exclusion: discussed country realities, who is excluded, talked about stereotypes and elaborate concepts of youth projects. In the end we created electronic brochure, which will be used as one of dissemination tool.

We would like to say personal thanks to our amazing trainer. For all her passion, motivation, shared experience, support and a great example of her work and personal qualities.

This project was realized with great support of Erasmus+ Program (http://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus_en) and Nederlands Jeugdinstituut National Agency Erasmus+ Youth (http://www.erasmusplus.nl/welcome-at-the-website-of-the-dutch-national-agency-erasmus),  Informal group “Youth Line Netherlands” thanks one more time everyone and we are ready for further effective and successful cooperation!
